Description

Elegant and vibrant, it’s deliberately unoaked so you can expect fresh red-fruit flavours with notes of violet and white pepper.

The Bardolino DOC can also be found in its “Novello” version; like all young wines, it is produced through carbonic maceration (at least 85%) and it is bottled within the 31th of December of the year. Despite the very gentle extraction here, those fresh red fruit notes are in abundance but lifted even further by a lovely freshness thanks to the coolness of the nights during the growing season. The renowned Bardolino red wine should be decanted for a short time and chilled to a drinking temperature of between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius. The Bardolino vineyards are located on the eastern shores of Lake Garda, below the alpine foothills which continue up into Trentino-Alto Adige. The grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards located in the Eastern Morainic Hills of Lake Garda. This elegant red is a case in point, made from handpicked grapes from plots in Bardolino between the east shores of Lake Garda and the Adige river valley. Together with the Bardolino DOC the other regional offers include the Amarone in all its varieties, and always with the DOC certification the Valpolicella, Valpantena and Classico.

The Bardolino novello was first produced in the late 1980s in a style that mimics the French wine Beaujolais nouveau. The wines Colla Asolani Prosecco and Spumante Superiore, the wine Colli di Conegliano Bianco, Refrontolo, Rosso e Passito, Colli Euganei, Colli Asolani, Piave, Recioto della Valpolicella, Recioto di Gambellara, Soave e Soave Superiore, Colla Asolani Prosecco and Spumante Superiore, all of them with the Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita DOCG certification. Bardolino Frescaripa, produced with the traditional Veronese grapes Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara in the Bardolino Classico area, is a light red with intense aromas thanks to the beneficial climate of Lake Garda. The “Bardolino Chiaretto DOC”, whose name refers to the rose-coloured shade, comes from the same grapes as the Bardolino, but peels go through a “pinkish vinification” process; being partially in contact with them, the must softly changes its colour. Location and characteristics of the Vineyard: Produced from grapes harvested from municipality of Sommacampagna located south east of Lake Garda. This label was established with the main aim to produce everyday wines that were a blend of style, tradition, elegance and international winemaking techniques.

It is delicately fruity, with hints of cherry, cherry, strawberry, raspberry, currant and spices (cinnamon, clove, black pepper).
