Description

Graham’s Ten Year Old Tawny port is a wine made in a very different way to that of it’s ruby cousin. The Symington family crafts the quality of Graham's Tawny Ports from harvest to cellar, using the experience of 5 generations.

For example, they mention that it arrived well packaged, looks great in their presentation tubes, and is delivered excellently. Each Graham's Tawny Port bottle is the result of Graham's Art of Blending and once opened, unravels fine aromas and layers of rich flavours.

They too have been involved with Port and the Douro for many generations, with ancestry dating back to the mid-17th century. Graham's was one of the first Port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal’s Douro Valley in 1890 and is now at the cutting edge of innovation in winemaking techniques. After a decade of care and slow seasoned oak maturation this wine is a wonderful example of the complex nutty and mature fruit flavours of Tawny Port. Once the must reaches the desired degree of sweetness (usually within 48 hours), fortification takes place with the addition of grape spirit at 77% alcohol by volume.

The grapes that are used to make Port must be grown in the mountainous Upper Douro region of Northern Portugal, the world's first officially demarcated wine region in 1756.unless we get written confirmation from you that this is acceptable and that you will take full responsibilty if the parcel goes missing. Fabulous accompaniment to dark chocolate, but can also be enjoyed alone as a dessert in its own right.
