I would definitely read this novel again in the future and would recommend this to romantic suspense and suspense readers. That's so yesterday, been there done that and they bore me as much as organ harvesting and child/human trafficking themes. And as the two try to find the courage to bare their souls, a murderer looks for the real treasure he craves.

I love nothing more, than when an author can make me feel the same level of fear and panic, that the characters are subjected to. Meanwhile, he's trying to deal with his problems at home as his oldest son has had a personality change and is failing chemistry. Still haunted by his youngests son's abduction a few years back; Things take a turn for the worst, stumping investigators when their newest victim is found dismembered, Steven's need for this killer to be punished grows knowing himself how the parents of these teenage girls must feel, he puts everything into finding the sick person behind there brutal attacks, taunting the killer back via press conference, but at what cost?I have had to number them sequentially, even though they are stand alone novels, some do follow on and some times the correct sequence is not followed. May contain mild to moderate sexual tension and/or possible implications of something more taking place off canvas, but nothing beyond kissing actually occurs within the text. The story of Special Agent Steven Thatcher, whom we met in the previous book, and Jenna Marshall, his eldest son's science teacher.

Soon Jenna and Steven are falling for each other, though they tread cautiously as both carry hidden wounds of their own.The mystery was dual pronged and nicely layered, and while the perpetrator of the slaughter of innocent girls maybe isn't the hardest thing to figure out early on, the big picture is much less so and the story provided enough twists and turns and surprises to keep me invested throughout. I was also hoping for more time spent on the mystery and not Steven's "woe is me" angst or people telling him he needs to get married again for the sake of his boys -- which again, product of its time. When she contacted Brad's father to set up a conference she didn't expect the handsome detective to stir her desires in a way that she hasn't felt since her fiancé passed away two years ago. I would suggest reading Don't Tell prior to this book so that you will have a better understanding and appreciation for the hero.
