Whether you are an AGA devoted fan or have never cooked on an AGA before, Mary Berry and Lucy Young's new AGA cookbook is just what you need by your side. Mary has incorporated her 'all-in-one' method of preparation into as many recipes as possible, so her recipes are faster to make than ever.

This simple recipe infuses the lamb with a lemon mint purée and is served with sweet, caramelised roasted fennel. Her timeless guidance and expert tips will help you cater smoothly and successfully on a small scale for dinners and lunches around a table, or on a larger scale for drinks parties, buffets and teatime.

I used a Mary Berry recipe except that instead of placing a circle of marzipan in the middle of the cake, I folded small pieces of it into the mixture, à la Delia’s recipe. It is 30 years since AGA first got in touch with Mary Berry about producing the AGA handbook and 15 since she followed it up with Mary Berry's New Aga Cookbook - now she has combined, improved, updated and revamped those books with Lucy's help to produce The Complete Aga Cookbook, which deserves its place on all 21st-century kitchen shelves. On a weekly basis from now on you are going to need to feed your cake: take a darning needle and pierce the cake all over, top and bottom; drizzle over a couple of teaspoons of sherry, let it sink in and then turn the cake over and do the same on the other side.

I have now made all three recipes and they’re all superb, but today I’m going to tell you how I made the one above in the Aga. We also offer beautiful cookbook stands which are a lovely addition to any country kitchen and help you stay as 'hands-free' as possible during the cooking procress! I am not very good on social media but we do have a Facebook page which gives you latest news and stories. For the last two years I’ve bought a pudding from Bertinet’s in Bath and they’ve gone down well with my family. This is not intended to be a full statement of all your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. for which the Aga is justly famous, but including more sophisticated fare and ideas in line with today's trend for lighter tastes and healthy eating. What is more, I chose the recipe because it was a slow braise, which in my opinion ought to have ensured tender, succulent meat. The sale of customised goods or perishable goods, sealed audio or video recordings, or software, which has been opened. My boys gave me this book for Christmas and on Saturday I made a scrumptious shepherd’s pie from it.
