Thanks to the high Turbo Boost, the CPU is a very fast gaming CPU available at the time of announcement. Using all cores, the i9 however is slower than the top Ryzen CPUs (like the Ryzen 9 3950X) which offer more cores. We found that, in general, more cores do provide better performance in professional tools and when running multiple applications simultaneously. Do note that the Memory Try It! function will also adjust voltages if necessary. For example, it will adjust the system memory voltage as well as the CPU System Agent voltage. Make sure to verify the settings and ensure you are comfortable with the raised voltages. As expected, the 10850K pulls less power than the 10900K under full load, but we're looking at a roughly ~3% decrease in power consumption during the threaded AVX-heavy y-cruncher and HandBrake benchmarks.
